I wanted to dislike this phone

I really did not want to like this phone. I wanted it to fail in so many ways. I am one of those flip phone guys I have never had a phone that was open like this so I was annoyed when I opened the box. I took it out and instantly started playing with the little scroll wheel that is very addictive. I have to admit the key pad takes a bit of time to to get used to but you have to remember it is as tall as my Razr v3i when it is CLOSED!!! and not as wide. I then thought about hooking it up to my e-mail accounts and I heard all this stuff online about it being a real pain, I have it hooked up to my Gmail, my yahoo and my own personal Pop3 mail from my website within a few hours. It really is helpful being able to check my mail when I am out. I intend on hooking it up to my office e-mail outlook mail as well. This thing is there is a new 8800 coming out but the thing is much wider and does not look like a phone at all it looks like a BLACKBERRY. This 8100 looks like a phone, but has the guts of a blackberry I think its a very slick phone.

Verdict

It's nothing revolutionary, but the addition of multimedia features to the already solid email capabilities make RIM's BlackBerry Pearl an attractive device for business users and consumers alike.

Review Although it's missing some features (chiefly HSDPA and GPS), Nokia's E63 is a well-thought-out, ergonomic and affordable smartphone.
