Below Average as an actual Mobile phone

Yes it quite pretty, quite light and thankfully it pushes out email. But if it wasn’t for the email feature, I would have returned it for my old 6230 after less than a week.

As a simple mobile phone, for doing simply mobile phone things, like going crazy and wanting to call people or even answering calls, it’s very, very poor.

Much as I dislike the term ‘user experience’, I’ll have to use it. The ‘user experience’ is shocking. Texting, simply answering calls, searching contacts on this phone is simply rubbish.

Yes, I know it’s a smartphone and that’s all very well and good, but the fact is, it’s core function should be as a telephone and that’s the problem, that seems to have been forgotten.

The packaging is nice, but they should have spent longer and the money on the handbook making it more comprehensive and a lot more field testing.

Very disappointing and I’ll be changing it as soon as possible.

Review Although it's missing some features (chiefly HSDPA and GPS), Nokia's E63 is a well-thought-out, ergonomic and affordable smartphone.
