Excellent features, high quality -- but user interface still not as good as Nokia
Incredibly fully featured phone of high quality, in a compact size. I chose this over the Nokia 6310, which had the data compatibility I required, due to the size -- the colour screen, camera, polyphony etc. were nice to have -- that I have rapidly come to appreciate. It is pleasingly compact, without being so small that the keys are tricky (which I found on the Nokia 8310).
The only issue is with the user interface: having been a Nokia only user till now, I have found the interface slower. There is a lag time on key presses, and it generally requires more key presses to accomplish a task (e.g. change phone profile, access number in phone book), although this latter issue is, I suspect, a function of the fully featured nature. There's just so much on the phone, the menu system is larger.
Support has not been great -- Orange don't seem to have much knowledge of the product, hopefully because it is still quite new. Particularly on data issues (WAP and data accounts, email via an alternative ISP), the response has been less than adequate. There are still a few tasks I'm struggling with (e.g. deleting emails from the phone without deleting from ISP server, customising menus) that support are not able to help with.
A side note: the belt cases available that I have seen do not attach as securely as with other phones due to the need to leave the camera aperture uncovered (the clip is positioned lower down the phones body, and has to be smaller).
