Appalling support, no backup, short compatibility list

There are so many items that this product would be useful for but so few that it actually supports. Couple that with atrocious backup from just about every supplier and you have an expensive gimmick. Don't buy it. By the time you have got it to work, you could have carved each letter from stone, typeset them, made some ink, made some paper, printed your message and hand delivered it to just about anywhere in the world on foot and still saved yourself some time. Regardless of what you may have read, the devices that will work with the VKB are few and far between, with such a narrow focus and ignoring the existing installed base of devices out there as they do I am not surprised that this technology has changed hands so many times.

Verdict

This innovative laser-projected keyboard works surprisingly well, but there are enough rough edges to deter the majority of mobile professionals.
