I've had 2 of these cameras and both have terrible issues with brightness and contrast
I have had 2 of these cameras now. Both problematic.
I spoke with three different d-link support people on this device and every one of them knew less than I did about their product. Support is worthless for configuring the advanced features. They don't even know how to post the java or activeX image on a web page.
The fist issue was getting the FTP image upload option to work. Apparently it doesn't work with industry standard FTP servers. To compound this, it is next to impossible to tell if this feature is working because there are no error messages output to the user if there are errors while uploading (besides checking the site to see if it uploaded). If you do find an FTP server that is compatible, probably 1 out of 20 images are going to be uploaded half way (broken image). This is not a wireless connectivity problem, as the camera is sitting a few feet away from the D-Link access point.
The second issue is a big one. After Installing this camera and letting it run about a month, the brightness and contrast starts to get WAY out of whack. Images become extremely dark and dreary. It might slightly lose focus also (not 100% sure, since it gets so dark). After 2, hour+ phone calls they finally sent me a new camera. I also had to pay to ship the broken product back to them. Again, after 2 months of use the darkness problem is back. I continually turn up the brightness option on the camera to make it brighter, but it just starts to look washed out.

Hopefully by the time most people read this I will have replaced it with something better. I've been in contact with D-Link support recently to get this resolved. I wonder how many times I will have to spend money on shipping it back to them before they replace it with something better or refund my money.
This product is junk! Very bad experiences!
