The driver software is fairly good, although you tend to get better scans when the driver is set to "Professional" mode. Scan quality is incredibly good for a scanner in this price range. Linux support is also useful -- I do most of my photo-retouching work using The Gimp (running on Linux). This scanner is as near to perfect as you're going to get in a consumer-grade scanner.

7.9With its high resolution and 48-bit colour depth, the Perfection 2400 Photo should appeal to professionals, but slight imperfections in image quality make it more suited for hobbyists.
