Not worth the money.

The screenshots of Destinator SP look quite nice - however using it is a different kettle of fish. There is only partial postcode search. Some of the instructions are misleading and sound fairly long-winded at times. There is a 3d view but this is only shown in night colours! Unfortunately there are very few options that can be changed - changing the 3d colours would be a start.

Verdict

Destinator SP is a reasonably good navigation solution for Windows smartphones, but it lacks the sophistication offered by some of the competition.

Put simply, what is the compelling reason to pay ~$200 extra for an Eee with Windows XP? A Windows Eee won't come with any useful applications and you'll have to buy anti-virus software to boot. The truth about low cost computing is that nobody really cares whether the machine is running Windows or Linux as long as its cheap, its easy to use and it works.
