It does what it says - turn it on and go

Cannot compare this to any others as it is the first one that I have used. Settled on it after reading several reviews and I am very pleased with it. The windscreen mounting is a little daunting at first but once you acquire the knack of getting it pressed onto the top of the dashboard, it is very stable.

The instructions are clear and on time for 99% of the time, but can get a bit confused if there is a rapid sequence of manouvres. Learning how to watch the road AND keep an eye on the detail of the map at the same time is necessary, and really isn't difficult to do.
You very quickly do not bother to consult a map as a backup as it gives a good feeling of confidence very quickly.

The directory of Points of Interest is extremely comprehensive and knowing that wherever you are, it will indicate the nearest petrol station, restaurant, hotel and about thirty other categories is very reassuring.
