O2 xda II review Editors Choice Award

Monday 18 October 2004, 9:25 AM

Customer support is next to non-existent

My research with a view to buying this machine leads me to the conclusion that the manufacturer has NO concept of customer support. The most common complaints I found are as follows.
1. Phone / network synchronisation hanging.
2. Bluetooth device incompatibility.
3. Problem with the firmware that required regular rebooting.
4. Many owners were frustrated by their emails to customer support being ignored.

This is a product I would like to buy, but, I would have to see a substantial reduction in problems people are trying to resolve. Not least of all a substantial improvement in customer support.

As always do your homework prior to buying!

Verdict

The xda II features a tri-band GSM/GPRS phone, a VGA-resolution digital camera and Bluetooth built in, along with 128MB of RAM, an SDIO-compatible card slot and an improved screen. This makes it one of the best handheld/mobile phone combos around.
