Handspring Treo 600 review Editors Choice Award

Monday 1 December 2003, 10:18 PM

A tidy package offering many easy to use facilities

I like this. I like it a lot. The phone facilities are good, but the PDA facilities are the real attraction. The keyboard is very small, but even with big thumbs, I soon got used to using it to send texts and quick emails. I do miss the Grafitti though -- it's nice to be able to scribble a quick note.

Orange leaves a bit to be desired -- pity it's not on another network. The instruction book's not totally accurate. And getting connected to Orange's online email and billing service is best described as hit and miss.

Summary -- the phone's good, the PDA's excellent (but no Graffiti) and Orange's service isn't impressive.

Verdict

Handspring's parting shot, the Treo 600, is one of the better blends of phone and handheld that we've seen to date.
