Palm Tungsten W review

Monday 22 December 2003, 11:00 AM

Good PDA, average phone

Does all that earlier palms do and more - with bundled software like Docs to go. On the phone front - annoying that it has no integrated mic or voice dialling. Plus the design flaw on the sim latch makes it break at the slightest opening or closing - needs to be fixed. Also the fact that the phone resets to highest volume on every call is annoying.

Verdict

Palm's handheld/mobile phone combo is generally well designed, but there are a few deficiencies that prevent it from being an outright winner.

Nokia E63

Review Although it's missing some features (chiefly HSDPA and GPS), Nokia's E63 is a well-thought-out, ergonomic and affordable smartphone.
