TomTom Navigator 2 review

Wednesday 10 December 2003, 11:15 PM

Simple to use

Seems very accurate on the road, but all the way points seem to be alocated to the roads. If you go off road the indicator tries to stay on the road and seems to be confused. Directions are easy to follow. New upgrade solved hanging problem when turning Bluetooth on and off -- i.e at stops on the way.

Verdict

Despite its lack of speed, TomTom 2 is an excellent Pocket PC-based GPS navigation system. Significant enhancements in version 2 make it the current best of breed.

Review Although it's missing some features (chiefly HSDPA and GPS), Nokia's E63 is a well-thought-out, ergonomic and affordable smartphone.
