HP Jornada 728 review

Sunday 24 October 2004, 2:51 AM

Unsupported platform makes this unit very limited

While this unit has a lot of promise there is very little available software other than the basic Microsoft programs that are bundled with it. Even Microsoft has stopped supporting the processor. Most of the software that I purchased for this unit, the developers have stopped supporting the StrongARM processor.
The bottom line: This unit is useful right out of the box but has no future with HP, Microsoft, or software developers. The way you buy is the way it will stay until you are finished with it!

Verdict

Check out HP’s Jornada 728 if you want to ditch your notebook in exchange for increased portability and battery life -- but only if your software requirements are relatively undemanding and you can cope with a small keyboard.

Review Although it's missing some features (chiefly HSDPA and GPS), Nokia's E63 is a well-thought-out, ergonomic and affordable smartphone.
