Intel’s ARM-based XScale PXA250 processor has been eagerly awaited by users of Pocket PC handhelds, as this new 400MHz chip promises both better performance and enhanced power management -- although precious little software has been optimised for the XScale yet.

Toshiba, HP/Compaq, Fujitsu Siemens and Asus have been quick off the mark with product releases: keep checking back to see how the XScale-based Pocket PC market shapes up.
