We have about 200 of these here.

We have had huge issues with random shutdowns, and drivers. When we first got thes, we had about 20 blue screens an hour. That's basically a 10% failure rate/hour. Usually we could recover from a blue screen by rebooting, but some of them had to be reimaged. We were able to lessen the amount of blue screens by installing the latest image fro HPs website, but we still have issues with TCs turning off for no apparent reason. We have sent 5 back for repair, and one wa sent back saying nothing was wrong with it and a few others have had the front bezel replaced. Apparently, the power button gets stuck and that is the reason behind the power offs. I'm not sure I beleive that, but that's what HP is telling us.

Overall, it's a cute toy, but not a good thin client. If we could, we would send them all back.

Verdict

The AMD-based t5720 is a welcome addition to HP Compaq's family of thin clients, but documentation needs to be improved.
