Apple Mac mini (1.25GHz) review

Sunday 4 December 2005, 7:50 PM

It's a good thing it's such a good machine....

Apple support is getting worse all the time but fortunately their computers are as good as Japanese cars. Comparing an Apple to a "standard PC" is like comparing a Honda to a Ford. You can't compare. The quality of craftmanship is much much better, and the funcionality is superior with the Mac. I own a design company and am forced to use both PC and Mac platforms on a daily basis. I also do a lot of video editing so I'm a good person to ask about functionality and processor speed. The Mac is far superior. I do not however play video games. The PC I use is a dual 64 bit with 2 gigs of ram. The biggest video card available and it was built by a PC specialist. The top in his field. It cost me $3,000 and it still kinda lags in many areas.

Verdict

Apple trimmed some corners to keep the Mac mini's price so low, but its great design and big software bundle make it a winner among budget computers.
