Apple iMac G5 review

Monday 2 January 2006, 3:21 AM

A flat screen with an advanced processor thrown in

I used Windows since the late eighties and got fed up in the end. I looked at other O/S's and used Linux but ultimately went for the best and most widely form of Unix which is Apple OS X. It's great to have a rear power switch so the kids will never know (if you don't tell them) and beats the hell out of Windows XP Pro. A perfect marriage of hardware and software, not only does it look good but takes up less space, the sound quality is excellent. I only hope Apple don't become like Dell and also consider AMD processors in the future.

The new iMac is as much a design choice as it is a computing choice; as such, it's perfect for people who need to look good while they work.
