Win an HP RDX backup system

[CLOSED]

If yours is a small company with valuable data, then you need to have backup and recovery. HP's StorageWorks RDX Removable Disk Backup System is a data protection product that aims to be an affordable, easy-to-use and rugged answer to this need.

We have one 500GB model to give away, courtesy of HP, with a bonus prize of a removable 500GB disk cartridge as a spare.

ZDNet UK's Reviews editors described the RDX system as an "excellent backup solution for small businesses, and more cost-effective than tape at this end of the market".

It provides simple backups using drag-and-drop file access. It promises "hands free" protection of the entire system, using RDX Continuous Data Protection software or other similar standard backup applications with the same CDP feature.

The external system comes clad in rubber to protect it from knocks, and the HP RDX Removable Disk Cartridges that complement it have a 98 percent survival rate for drops of up to 1m.

These cartridges, which can be used to store backups off site, contain a 2.5in Sata hard disk and are interchangeable in any HP RDX docking station or RDX system from another company. They are also good for at least 5,000 insertion/removal cycles, and the cartridges will not wear out over the product's typical lifecycle, according to HP.

The top-of-the-line AJ935A dock on offer to the winner costs £515, and the Q2042A disk cartridge costs £439. Prices in the rest of the range vary, depending on the storage capacity.
