Christmas Competition 2007

Win an HTC Touch

[CLOSED]

Launched in July, the HTC Touch features innovative and easy-to-use touchscreen technology. TouchFLO makes dialling, navigation and selection simple and straightforward. The phone is slim, stylish, smart and versatile, and packs all the punch of a Windows Mobile 6 smartphone. Even better — we've got two to give away.

HTC provides a simple, customised home screen with a large, easy-to-see digital clock and icons leading to weather and launcher applets. The bottom half of the screen lists your upcoming appointments. By sweeping your finger up the screen, you can instantly access the Touch Cube, the first side of which shows a three-by-three grid of your main contacts. The icons beneath enable you to initiate a call, view your call history, open contacts and delete a favourite contact.

The HTC Touch measures 58mm wide by 99.9mm deep by 13.9mm high and weighs 112g with its battery. The 2.8-inch TFT touchscreen has a native resolution of 240x320 pixels. The device is powered by a Texas Instruments OMAP 850 processor running at 201MHz, with 128MB of ROM and 64MB of RAM. A 1GB microSD card is also provided.

The operating system is Windows Mobile 6 Professional edition with Direct Push email and HTML email support. There's a 2-megapixel camera on the back, with a self-portrait mirror but no flash unit.

Connectivity comes in the shape of tri-band GSM with GPRS and Edge support, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0. Battery life is rated at five hours' talk time and 200 hours' standby.

The HTC Touch has a mix of features that will appeal to both consumers and business users.
