Motorola's Razr2 V8 is a shiny, slim mobile phone with some nifty features that could make life a little easier for out-of-office professionals juggling an armful of devices. We've got five of these quad-band GSM phones to give away in Day 2 of our Christmas competition.

For a start, the V8 has a bigger-than-usual external screen, measuring 31mm by 40mm, that allows you to read text messages without opening the clamshell. You can also control the MP3 player using the external screen, which has touch-sensitive soft keys that make the screen vibrate slightly when pressed.

Another hands-off feature is the voice function that will read out text messages and emails for you — very useful if you're driving. It can also be programmed to notify you aloud when messages come in.

Motorola has also considered how hard it is to make calls in noisy environments like airports, streets or pubs, as the V8 has built-in CrystalTalk technology designed to boost audio quality.

Sleeker than its predecessors, the V8 is compact (53mm by 103mm by 12mm), lightweight (117g) and comes with up to 2GB of on-board memory (the prize version may not have this amount). It's packed with Bluetooth, GPRS support and a 2-megapixel camera that automatically snaps up to eight new pictures so you can choose the best one. Music-wise, it can hold up to 200 files.
