Wanted: reviewer for ZDNet UK

If the idea of testing and writing about anything from a notebook to a NAS box or a phone to a firewall appeals to you, we may have just the job for you. Having built an exciting new site, ZDNet UK is now seeking to expand its coverage of business technology products in the Reviews section.

To that end, we're looking for a reviewer who is familiar with a broad spectrum of technology products -- from client hardware and software, to network infrastructure, to SME and enterprise-focused applications and services.

You should be the kind of person who wants to get under the surface of a product, find out how it works, determine how it could work better, and then write up your experience in an even-handed, logical but lively manner.

We're not interested in 'back of the box' reviews (of which you can find many examples both in print and online). Rather, our motto has always been: 'if it isn't broken, it hasn't been in the labs'. Speaking of labs: we will soon have a brand-new purpose-built testing facility in our central London offices.

Not that you'll be permanently tied to the testbench: part of the reviewer's remit will be to get out and about, representing ZDNet at product launches and other industry events both at home and abroad.

Our ideal candidate will have two or more years' experience in business technology editorial -- preferably online. Experience in setting up and running a business network out in the real world would also be a distinct advantage.

If you wish to apply, please email your CV with a covering letter stating your salary expectations.
