Budget MiniDV camcorders

Not so long ago, digital camcorders were luxury items costing well over £1,000 for a decent-quality model. Like mobile phones in the 1980s, owning a MiniDV camcorder said something about your economic and social status.

Now, you can get a capable digital video camera for less than £500 (inc. VAT), and we have rounded up three examples from JVC, Panasonic and Samsung.
